I offer a confidential, warm, empathic, non-judgmental therapeutic approach while addressing a broad range of mental health issues, personal and relationship difficulties. I work from comfortable therapy rooms conveniently located in WC1 and NW3 in London.
As well as offering therapy to help with all kinds of emotional difficulties, I also have a real passion for supporting parents and carers struggling with mentally and physically unwell children and adolescents. When children are unwell, parents often don't look after themselves, as understandably all their energies go into supporting their child. In my own personal experience I found that self-care, including therapy, enabled me to support my loved one in a healthier way. Learning from this, I was able to facilitate and run a support group for parents and carers of loved ones with an eating disorder.
I also have particular experience working with pregnancy, pregnancy loss, miscarriage, still birth, IVF and infertility. I have experience of supporting mothers with peri/post-natal depression, traumatic birth and the consequences. I am able to offer support for women throughout their pregnancy and post-natally.
Currently I am working in private practice in WC1 and NW3 (please visit location for more information). I am also working with the Parent and Carer Counselling Service (Camden), providing counselling for parents and carers with young, school age children. I work as a Peer Coach for BEAT (National Eating Disorder Charity), where I support parents of loved ones with an eating disorder.
For 3 years I ran and co-facilitated The London Carers Group, a support group for parents and carers of loved ones with an eating disorder.
I worked for City Pregnancy Counselling & Psychotherapy where I counselled women and men with pregnancy related issues, infertility, IVF, miscarriage, still birth, post and peri-natal depression.
I am a registered member of the BACP, and studied my Diploma in professional psychotherapeutic integrative counselling at the Mary Ward Centre in London.
